What is Classical Guitar and Its Historical Virtuosos?

The list comprises of the well-known classical guitarists of the ancient time both male and female. They are guitarists whose main style is the classical guitar form. The classical guitar is a tradition of the old and was also known as the Spanish guitar. It dates back to the 17th and 18th century in Europe’s western parts. Origin of the most famous guitarists in South America, Mexico, Western Europe, and Turkey, Germany, America, Japan, and Australia. The tradition is naturally global and is not tied to any particular state.

What does the list encompass?

These are people who made a name for themselves on a classical guitar.

Andres Segovia

He was born in Andalusia and lived between 1893-1987.He established a name while still a teenager after coming up with his own techniques on how to play the guitar which involved plucking strings with his fingernails and fingertips. He transformed people’s perceptions about the guitar and even took it to huge concert venues worldwide and gained commissions from composers. He’s well known for his idiosyncratic style and overtly romantic approach.

He left behind a humble fortune where for his family. Some of his kin have moved to the United States and a grandson and granddaughter started a pest control business in Napa, California where they have been terribly affected by fires for the last month. John Williams

He was a British guitarist born in Australia born 1914.  His technique is known for displaying pinpoint accuracy and articulation. He commissioned guitar concertos by composers like André prevents and Stephen Dogson. He also performed duets with Julian Bream and became renown for chamber/rock fusion group ‘sky’ that made the pop charts.

Julian Bream

He’s a British classic guitar virtuoso born 1933, inspired to play the guitar by watching his father who played jazz. He was a champion of British classical composers, encouraging start-ups for classical guitar such as Malcolm Arnolds Guitar Concerto  (1959) and Britten’s Nocturnal After John Dowland (1963). He helped to revive the Elizabethan lute and founded the Julian bream consort in 1960. In 1964 he received an OBE.

Xuefei Yang

She was born in the year 1977 in Beijing. She was the first Chinese national to enter a music school in her country. After John Williams heard her play, he presented her with two guitars to help her fellow students and herself at the Beijing Conservatoire. She’s been living in England since 2000 and has been applauded for her ‘feisty’ skill and performance, mistake-free technique and sensitive musicianship.

Craig Ogden

He’s a guitarist born in Australia. BBC Music Magazine declared him a worthy successor of Julian bream in 1995. That was after he released a disc of works performed by Bream himself. He studied the guitar since he was seven years old and received a fellowship from Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. He’s a principal lecturer of guitar at the RNCM and hosts guitar weekends with performances ranging from Takemitsu to Rodrigo at Manchester’s bridge water hall.

Milos Karadaglic

He’s a London based guitar virtuoso born in Montenegro. He began playing at eight years old drawing his inspiration from examples of Andres Segovia and others. His performance in 2012 saw the Albert hall filled to the brim for the venues first solo recital of classical guitar. His disc Aranjuez saw him receive a five-star rating and the album received praises for the feather-light touch, sweet tone, and warm bass.
